Questions to cosider:
1. What medium do you want to work in?
2. What material(s) do you want to work with?
3. What is you subject matter?
4. What role will the formal elements play?
(line, shape, form, tone, texture,
pattern, color & composition)
5. Are you trying to make something that is aesthetically beautiful or sublime?
6. What role will gesture play in your piece?
7. What role will lighting play?
8. What role does size play in your piece?
9. What role does location play?
10. How do you want to display the work?
Each of these is connected to a
greater cultural & historical context.
How to successfully apply for the Fund for Excellence
- come up with an idea
- figure out what materials & supplies you need
- research the cost of the materials & supplies
- fill out the forms (check for errors)
- hand it in on time
Setting up CV's for different needs
You will be asked for a CV (resume) in a variety of circumstances over
the years to come. Your CV should be adjusted for each unique
circumstance. The idea is to give the reader the information they need
as easily and as fast as possible. You also want to show that you know
about what you are applying for. ( This will also come up when writing
a Letter of Intent.)
