OPEN DOOR XVIII JURORED BY ELLEN MUELLER
SUBMISSIONS OPEN SEPTEMBER 28 - MIDNIGHT OCTOBER 31ST
Don't miss out on your chance to be a part of one of the Twin Cities most anticipated annual exhibitions! Open Door is Rosalux Gallery’s annual open call exhibition which in the past has highlighted some of the best up and coming talent at the time and has helped to launch many an impressive artistic career. Typically, this exhibition is reviewed and receives extensive press coverage from local media and is one of our best attended events of the year. Open Door is open to all North American residents working in any 2D/ 3D media and video. Only works completed within the past two years are eligible for submission.
This year’s Open Door submissions will be juried by Ellen Mueller. Ellen Mueller is an interdisciplinary artist living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. She examines how capitalist systems affect everyday living, with particular focus on issues related to the environment and adornment. She received her MFA from University of South Florida and is currently the Director of Programs at Arts Midwest. Mueller has completed many residencies nationally and internationally and is the author of four books including "Walking as Artistic Practice" coming out in October 2023.
The deadline for submissions is October 31st at midnight. Follow the link below to learn more about how you can become a part of this exciting show!

As art students you are becoming experts in understanding the many levels of depth an image/object contains and how it effects your viewer. If you were in chemistry you would be expected to remember the periodic table as well as how all the elements intact through various chemical combinations depending on situation. (sounds just as impossible doesn't it) You creative neighbors upstairs are doing the same thing with sound and musical composition.
