* Art 250 Digital Portfolio is another class made for art seniors. It is 2 credits, meets wednesday nights 5:30-7:30pm and is an open studio class. Students create projects during the semester and share their work with classmates through presentations and critiques. (You can be working on your senior project for this class).

USPS Postcard size regulations

You may think that your mailpiece is a "postcard," because it is a single sheet of paper. But to qualify for mailing at the First-Class Mail postcard price, it must be:

• Rectangular
• At least 3-1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inch thick
• No more than 4-1/4 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick

1) Pick a site you want to get your cards printed at
2) Pick a size you want to print your cards *see above
3) You need an image that is at least 240 dpi at the size you choose.
4) Simple Photoshop
4a) File --> New

4b) File --> Open --> find your image

4c) Using the 'Move' tool drag your image onto your showcard template

4d) Image --> Transform --> Scale = * Resize your image for the card if necessary

4e) If you need to add text, use the 'Text' tool

4f) Save As --> .PSD (this is your main file. you will need it to make changes)

4f) Layer --> Flatten Image

4g) Save As --> (file type the website your printing from wants. usually a JPG)
